This weekend I taught my year-long Baltimore class. This was the seventh of twelve classes. There’s a class on Saturday morning and a class on Monday morning.
My students have learned a variety of appliqué methods……freezer paper techniques, needle-turn techniques, back-basting…..but last month was a challenge. The class was reverse appliqué- each little lacy hole in the hearts is appliquéd separately.
Each month my students pin their blocks, finished or in progress, to a design wall. We get to see what everyone is doing, check out different designs and fabric choices, and ask questions about the process.
It’s always fun to see what shows up on the wall!
Here’s the Saturday class:
And here’s the Monday group:
Yes, they are working in different sizes, and using a variety of fabulous fabrics. The hearts are looking great!
These are definitely some of the reasons I love my students!
