Quilted Houses

It’s always fun to go to Quilt Odyssey in Hershey PA at the end of July. This was the 14th year for this fabulous show. The quilts in the show this year were incredible and the vendors, of course, had lots of goodies for quilters to buy.

But the best fun of all was teaching! Norma Campbell and I designed the logo for the show- a traditional house quilt called Welcome Home. Our students surprised us with a variety of fun fabrics and creative ideas for their quilts. The colors were bright and we loved the way the lights shined bright in many of the windows.

We loved the creativity in this Halloween house…..loved the ghost and pumpkin in the windows!

This student just moved to a log cabin and made a house-warming quilt.

I just had to include the “Love Shack” and “House of the Rising Sun” quilts made by fun and creative friends!

And here is one of our favorite students this year. Madison came with her mom AND grandmother! Three generations in one class! What a treat! We loved them all, but just had to have our picture taken with Madison.

What fabrics would you use for a special house?
Happy building!

It’s always a treat to see how each quilter interprets the same pattern just by the fabrics they choose. Luv ’em all!
