Grad School…..September

It’s back to school time for a fun group of ladies that share my Grad School Mondays. These are ladies that took my year- long Baltimore Album class.
Here’s what we do….
First we have show and tell….and you never know what will show up. Here’s a few highlights from Monday.
Polly’s almost-finished Civil War Bride quilt top…… (With apologies to Clara who also brought hers, but I didn’t get the camera out in time!)

And her in-progress Kentucky Graveyard Quilt…..creepy!

And Barbara brought a treat….Anne Connery’s Album quilt…..wonderful!

In the afternoon, Vera and Polly did a presentation about vases. Pronounced vaaa-ses! Fancy ones for appliqué quilts!
First they showed how to make a paper window shape….then move it over fabric to decide the best design.

And of course some finished samples….

And I just have to add Eleanor’s fun balloon block…..she is now our queen of circles!

I went home inspired to find the perfect fabric for my next vase appliqué block!
