A Colorful Week

Wow! How did it get to be the middle of October already?!
It’s been a colorful week! In addition to the trees starting to turn autumnal colors, this week I went to two quilt guild meetings…..the Baltimore Appliqué Society on Wednesday and Village Quilters on Thursday. Both groups hosted Pat and Arlen Christ, quilt collectors from Pennsylvania. They brought quilts from Bucks County, a group of quilts known for their bright colors.

Here’s one of my favorite pieced quilts…..

And of course an appliquéd beauty…..

But my favorite photo is this one…..all of the beautiful quilts displayed on a table……

As I watched all of the colorful quilts and listened to the stories, I felt like I was in a museum. Thanks, Pat and Arlen for bringing the museum to us!
