I’m up early this morning! It’s Grad School Day!
Grad School started about 25 years ago. I had finished teaching my first year- long Baltimore class and we had a great time, we were not finished our quilts, and wanted to keep on going. Someone said, “I think we need a Grad Class!” and it happened!
In the beginning we worked on quilt blocks and different techniques. Now, we get together and have a good time. In the morning, we do show and tell…..how I wish I had photos of all the gorgeous quilts we’ve seen! After lunch, we work on a yearly project. Each month, a different student “teaches” something about the month’s quilt block. We learn from each other and it’s fun and amazing!
The student exhibit this summer features quilts from this group. This year, we have taken some time off from new projects to finish some old ones. Here’s a photo of the group when we worked on the stars for the Star Spangled Banner.
