Happy National Quilting Day! It’s always the third Saturday in March, and The Maryland Historical Society had a fun event planned for today. I was planning to teach an applique workshop to a special group….quilters who had never had a workshop with me before! Hopefully we will reschedule and have some fun appliqueing little birds, but until then…(and this is really cool!) MDHS has released my video that played in the exhibit all year. Many quilters asked if it was available….and now it is! It shows how I applique a heart, and actually you can apply what I show you to many other shapes. So, on this National Quilting Day, get out a needle, thread, and some fun fabric, and appliqué a heart! I’ll stitch one for you today!
